Skating movements and jumps place extreme stress to a leather upper.The built in V-INSERT absorbs much of the impact and is slowing breakdown of the boot. V-INSERT also makes the break-in phase considerably easier. The GRAF Edmonton is our top of the line model and go-to for the majority of professional and competitive figure skaters. This model was originally designed to stand up to the harsh training rigours of Eastern Europeans. It lives up to the GRAF Figure brand by peak performance and durability among all figure skates available on the market. We exclusively use hand-selected Italian full grain leather for the upper (white model only). The leather is laminated with heat-moldable reinforcements. GRAF Edmonton Special is equipped with "Ortho-Form Compound" Tech Asymmetrical Ankle Padding and Microfiber Lining. It features an elastic collar in the Achilles tendon area for increased range of extension. Our Five-piece Flex Contour tongue has a high comfort padding and a comfortable microfiber lining. The middle strip of the tongue is made of a more flexible material to allow for easier flex with less force. We added a hook, so the tongue always stays in place. This skate model is a perfect base for your custom skates as it is all made from scratch in Switzerland.
